So been a little busy with work for the last few days, so not had a chance to upload too much in the way of reviews.
Probably time for a little more about me, and what I get up to on a day to day basis.
For most of my working life, I was working in IT, and got to a very high level in that industry. Unfortunately, the pressures eventually got to me, and after a serious mental health issue, I was forced to retire (for my own well-being).
Retirement didn’t suit me though (or more to the point, didn’t suit those around me, specifically my wife) so I had to do something else to get me out of the house. Now, I am doing home deliveries for one of the UK’s largest supermarkets.
Financially, this is a bit of a struggle, but at least I no longer have to worry about those 3am phone calls telling me that the world is coming to an end.
Outside of work though, I play darts (badly) in a local league, and I also play in a crib league. For those that don’t know, Crib (or cribbage) is a card game which involves a lot of counting, but can be very entertaining.
I’m sat here typing this blog entry, and the rain has just started hammering it down. Wouldn’t have bothered me too much a while back, but I sold my house a few years back, and now live in what we in the UK would call a holiday home. In the US, this would be called a trailer park. While I miss the security of a brick and mortar house, I don’t miss the exorbitant mortgage repayments, and my dogs (3 working cockers) love that we are a lot closer to the fields for them to run around in.
Missed my charity shop run at the weekend, so I’m off tomorrow to pick up some new (or old) books to put on the shelf and get reviewing.
